Project Information

I D Loaders Ltd won the contract for repairing this drop out on State Highway 4 at Te Rimu and chose the Cirtex DuraMesh system for the repair. The slip extended right across one lane and required a 3.6m high wall to reinstate the road.

The Cirtex DuraMesh System is engineered comprising a welded mesh facing combined with high strength polyester geogrid for structural integrity and BioCoir matting on the face to assist with vegetation growth. DuraMesh is faster to build than many wall systems and gives a long term solution which can be engineered to give a design life of up to 120 years. Cirtex site support staff were on site to provide training to the construction team on the use of the system. Typical construction plans and methodology statements were provided to assist with correct installation.

The repair was completed on time to a high standard and the road restored to full use soon after. The face was hydro-seeded on completion to give a completely green solution.
