Warehouse Assistant

Christchurch

About the role

We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant to join the team in their Christchurch.  This small tight knit team distribute products throughout the South Island for Cirtex.  Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for picking and packing orders ensuring they are dispatched efficiently; container devanning; some deliveries from time to time; utilising the ERP system to ensure all product is correctly recorded; customer service for “walk in customers”; stock takes; and any other support as required.

This is a fast-paced role and, so you will be someone who enjoys working in this environment.

Your skills and attributes

To be successful in this role you will be computer literate, with sound communication skills and excellent customer service. You will be a team player and your self-management will be equally as strong.  In addition, you will have:

  • An uncompromising attitude and focus on health & safety;
  • A clean full driver’s license;
  • A current forklift license ideally;
  • Ideally a MPI Accredited Person qualification (support will be given to attain this);
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Willingness to learn;
  • Second to none customer service and willingness to go the extra mile;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be physically fit and strong as some lifting is involved.

Ideally you will have had previous experience & knowledge within a warehouse environment.

Production Worker

About the role

As part of a small production team, in this role you will be involved in the manufacture of Filter Sleeve including printing and packing the product ready for despatch. You will be operating machines; problem solve any issues; minor maintenance; lubrication; and undertaking QA testing.

In addition, there may be general warehouse work including unpacking and storage of raw materials and finished goods.  The team is made up of 6 – 7 people and so you will be expected to work “where most needed” during the course of the day.

Your skills and attributes

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An uncompromising attitude and focus on health & safety;
  • Experience ideally in a production, manufacturing environment; and some exposure to a lean principles;
  • Preferably a current forklift license;
  • Mechanical aptitude;
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Willingness to learn;
  • Be physically fit and strong as some lifting is involved.
