SureFlex Grass Protection
SureFlex – grass protection mesh is an effective way to protect grassed areas from pedestrian and vehicle damage.
SureFlex is a cost-effective yet robust solution for protecting grassed areas from excessive wear, rutting, skidding, mud and damage caused by pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
SureFlex is available in two different grades, GP1800 for the more demanding applications and GP1400 for applications where there is only light vehicle or pedestrian movement.
SureFlex is manufactured using an improved method of extrusion and combining more than one material into the product.
SureFlex has superior slip resistance and is over 30% stronger when compared to other extrusion methods (tested to BS 7976-2). Improved flexibility makes the mesh quicker and easier to install.
Ideal for:
- Grass car parks
- Golf cart paths
- Overflow car parks
- Pedestrian paths
- Wheelchair access routes
- Emergency access
- Caravan parks and bays
- Event access
Frequently Asked Questions
What is SureFlex?
SureFlex is a three-dimensional, polymer mesh designed to reinforce grassed surfaces and create trafficable areas. SureFlex increases slip resistance of vehicles while improving their traction.
What sizes does SureFlex come in?
There are two grades available. GP1400 is for lighter pedestrian type use and GP1800 suitable for vehicular type use. Both grades come in roll sizes of 2 m x 20m.
How is SureFlex installed?
For an existing grassed surface (which will be most cases), simply mow the existing grass short and roll the SureFlex out over the area to be reinforced. Then pin it to the surface using the ground pins that come with each roll.
Note that the underlying surface must be firm enough and adequately drained to support the intended loads.
What grade should I use?
GP1400 is for lighter pedestrian type use and GP1800 suitable for vehicular type use.
Note that the underlying surface must be firm enough and adequately drained to support the intended loads.
Can SureFlex be cut?
SureFlex is a plastic mesh, manufactured from HDPE and EVA, so it can easily be cut with a saw or sharp knife. The number of cuts should be limited to ensure continuity of the product for optimum performance.
Please note that additional pins may be required at joints or cuts to secure the matting.
Is SureFlex suitable for temporary applications?
SureFlex is suitable for reinforcing grass subject to pedestrian and vehicular traffic both permanently and temporarily. If carefully removed and stored, SureFlex can be reused.
