HaTelit® BL is a further development of the tried and tested HaTelit C asphalt reinforcement geogrids suitable for repairing small areas and individual cracks.
Manufactured from high modulus polyester yarn laminated with a bitumen sheet the flexible, high tensile, self-adhesive geogrid contributes actively towards retardation of reflective cracking. In addition to the reinforcing action the HaTelit BL through its bonded bitumen backing also performs a sealing function and helps to relieve stresses. This prevents the infiltration of moisture into the lower asphalt layers while reducing stresses caused by temperature changes and traffic loadings.

Adjacent sections of HaTelit BL should butted up however not overlapped as this would cause an oversaturation of bitumen. If full coverage of a larger area is required, Hatelit C/XP or SamiGrid should be considered.
HaTelit C is the standard product of the range, manufactured from high-modulus polyester yarns and the ideal option when asphalt reinforcement is needed. HaTelit XP is manufactured from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and thus alkali-resistant, so it can be installed both on asphalt and concrete surfaces. Finally, HaTelit BL is a self-adhesive reinforcement grid, laminated with a bitumen sheet, and particularly suitable for the rehabilitation of small asphalt and concrete pavement areas.
HaTelit reinforcement grids must be covered with a compacted asphalt layer of at least 40mm thick.
