BIOCOIR – COCONUT MATTING

BioCoir is biodegradable coconut fibre matting for erosion and sediment control and landscaping applications.

BioCoir covers soil and allows moisture penetration while insulating the seed and root zones helping to prevent erosion and assist vegetation growth.

BioCoir is available in five different grades.

The 100% biodegradable product (BC300JR and BC450JR) is reinforced with a jute mesh and is commonly used for applications in or around streams, wetland and waterways.

The standard product (BC300 and BC450) is reinforced with a lightweight photodegradable polypropylene mesh and is usually chosen to prevent erosion and help vegetation establish on embankments and more exposed areas.

The BC450JR and BC450 are more robust and thicker, ideal for use in more demanding applications where strength and extra erosion protection is required for steeper or more exposed slopes.

The BC1200 is a robust biodegradable coir matting used for erosion control and weed suppression on embankments, planting areas, and around stream and waterways. The product is manufactured from 100% natural coir fibres bonded together with a natural latex.
