Project Information
Storm Damage on the Coromandel Peninsular is all too common. Here we see a series of significant slips being repaired using Cirtex Geogrid and soft facings. The contractors were keen to utilise both Cirtex products and our on-site support during construction.
Reinforced Soil walls are a specialty area, and Cirtex has an experienced team which can offer design support using world leading design programs, on site advice and support during construction. Cirtex supplied the Uniaxial Primary Grids, the Biaxial secondary grids and the geotextiles for this project. The Cirtex geogrid product and the use of a quality crushed rock fill material allowed the use of 1m lifts between primary layers, with secondary grids at 250mm centres. The even and straight facing is thanks to both the skill of the contractors and the wide rolls of easy handling grid.
This wall uses the DuraGreen System. Also available is the DuraMesh System with wire mesh facing.
The completed project provides an environmentally friendly mechanically reinforced solution for this common problem.
