Hamilton Ring Road – BioCoir Coconut Fibre Matting

Cirtex supplied a significant quantity of BioCoir matting for the Hamilton Ring Road project. Cirtex BioCoir is a biodegradable coconut fibre matting for erosion and sediment control and landscaping applications. BioCoir was ideal for this application, protecting the cut faces and exposed soil from wind and water erosion.

In addition to the erosion control function, BioCoir allows moisture penetration to assist vegetation establishment while insulating the seed and root zones from extremes of heat.

Cirtex also supplied the subsoil drainage solutions to this project through a local stockist, with DuraForce® AS280 non-woven geotextile and Cirtex Filter Sleeve™ being used to prevent sedimentation and ensure the integrity of the pavements. All products were available to be dispatched ex stock to ensure the contractors could work as efficiently as possible.
