Project Information
This project was one of a series of sites affected by a storm event on the East Coast of NZ. The purpose of the project was to repair a under slip that had occurred causing one lane to be closed.
This is the main route for forestry and farm work in the area so it was important to provide a durable and cost-effective solution that was readily available in order for the road to be fully restored in a timely manner.
Summary of the works required were – MSE wall/ Drainage Improvements/ Pavement Construction / Sight Rail.
DESIGN
The DuraMesh 70-degree system was utilised as it had proven to be a great solution for similar jobs in the area. Cirtex worked closely with the engineer to assist with designing the MSE Wall.
INSTALLATION
Dig Eastland was the sub-contractor that was awarded this project, their fantastic workmanship and care in making sure the system was installed correctly, resulted in a well constructed MSE wall that fits into the natural landscape.
